FEATURES OF THE PRONUNCIATION NORM CODIFICATION IN GERMAN ORTHOEPIC DICTIONARIES

The article presents some linguistic concepts of well-known linguists regarding the definition of the literary language, the correlation of the language norm and its variation, the interaction of orthoepic and orthographic norms. It is noted that the orthoepic dictionary of the German language is a fundamental work of the scientific normalizIng activity of German phoneticians. The pronunciation trends of the normalization of the German literary language, formed during the 18th - 21st centuries, are presented. The importance of minimizing the contradictions of registering the German orthoepic norm is emphasized, taking into account sociolinguistic realities.
