IS THE GERMAN LANGUAGE RUDE AND UGLY? (FEATURES OF GERMAN SPEECH SOUND PERCEPTION: TRUTH AND STEREOTYPES)

The authors of the article attempt to find out what phonetic features of the German language can give it "rigidity" in sound; to figure out whether these features are really relevant for modern native speakers and whether they are part of the oral speech of Germans.

FEATURES OF THE PRONUNCIATION NORM CODIFICATION IN GERMAN ORTHOEPIC DICTIONARIES

The article presents some linguistic concepts of well-known linguists regarding the definition of the literary language, the correlation of the language norm and its variation, the interaction of orthoepic and orthographic norms. It is noted that the orthoepic dictionary of the German language is a fundamental work of the scientific normalizIng activity of German phoneticians. The pronunciation trends of the normalization of the German literary language, formed during the 18th - 21st centuries, are presented.

THE PROBLEM OF ADAPTING THE STUDENTS TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF DISTANCE LEARNING (ACCORDING TO THE STUDENTS’ SURVEY FROM IVANOVO UNIVERSITIES)

Analyzing the answers of the students’ survey about the pros and cons of distance learning, the author of the article tries to answer the questions: what difficulties students face during distance learning, what the role of the teacher in this process is, how distance learning affects the psycho-emotional state of students. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the main task of teachers in the context of distance learning is to minimize the number of problems in this area on the one hand, as well as to identify and develop the best sides of it on the other..

THE IMPACT OF STEREOTYPES ON RUSSIAN STUDENTS' PERCEPTION OF GERMAN LANGUAGE AND GERMAN CULTURE

The article discusses issues related to the perceptions of technical University students about the target language country (Germany), a survey to identify and evaluate cultural competence of students is conducted. The answers received confirm the need to familiarize students with different aspects of life in the country of the language being studied. The active use of authentic country studies texts and various means of visual and audiovisual visibility in the lessons will help students to learn more about the socio-cultural reality of the country, to enrich the background knowledge.
