The article examines the features of the modern education system, the professional activity of a teacher that is impossible outside the information space. The functional and methodological capabilities of digital tools and services, electronic educational resources, educational platforms, websites and portals for the effective interaction of university teachers with students of pedagogy analyzed.

The presence of an electronic information and educational environment (hereinafter EIEE) is a mandatory requirement for the organization of the educational process in institutions of all levels of education, including higher education. The success of the organization of the educational process in the distance-learning mode during the pandemic depended on its functionality and smooth operation.
