РусскийThe article discusses new words that have appeared in the last two years (2020 - 2022) in the German language due to global events, changes in the world, as well as borrowings as their result: both direct borrowings from the English language and replacements of German words. The analysis is carried out on the material of German information sources (scientific and journal articles, mass media content, etc.), as well as words that have replenished the explanatory dictionary of the German language Duden in the period from 2020 to 2022, a dictionary of neologisms (Neologismenwörterbuch), created by scientists from the Institute of German language (Institut für Deutsche Sprache, IDS) on the OWID online dictionary platform (das Online-Wortschatz-Informationssystem Deutsch).
