By the reason of the change in the vector of language policy in the post-globalization period, the intensification of international cultural, economic, and academic relations, there is a need and demand for professionals in the field of intercultural communication who have the skills and highly developed abilities of intercultural interaction with representatives of the linguistic culture of one of the main partners of the Russian Federation - the People's Republic of China. Aimed the successful cooperation, a paradigm of intercultural interaction is needed that allows us to establish similarities and differences in the cultural and language worldview of these ethnic groups based on phraseological units. This topic is aimed at studying the linguocultural codes of lexical units that are difficult to understand due to national and cultural specifics. The introductory part of the work contains an overview of research approaches to the relationship between language and culture, based on the basic concepts: communication, concept, code, cultural worldview, language worldview. The component analysis of speech material represented by lexical units of two different systems of languages, based on the principle of comparison, the semiotic meaning of cultural codes is determined, and the ways of reflection in language. The main part of the topic includes the cultural interpretation of phraseological units based on the material of the Chinese and Russian languages. The results of the analyses indicate the semiotic feature of cultural codes, as well as the polycode potential of lexical units. The study of the identified issues provides overcoming misunderstandings in situations of intercultural interaction.
