LINGUISTIC OBJECTIFICATION OF LINGUOCULTURAL DOMINANT «CHRISTIANITY» IN N.S. LESKOV "BYZANTINE" LEGENDS CYCLE

The article is devoted to the analysis of the linguistic objectification of the linguistic and cultural dominant "Christianity" in N.S. Leskov language consciousness. A cycle of the «Byzantine» legends was chosen for the research. The author of the article uses the linguoculturological research approach in order to interpret N.S. Leskov language search, objectivating the linguistic and cultural dominant "Christianity". On the basis of its linguistic representation analysis in the discourse of the "Byzantine" cycle a conclusion is drawn about the usual-obligatory and individual author’s cognitive meanings in the semantics of this mental formation. It is noted that its explication in Leskov’s works is often carried out through the denial of language stereotypes. The findings of the study allow us to conclude that the "Byzantine" legends complete the explication of "Christianity according to Leskov" in the creative work of the author.

Key words: N.S. Leskov creative work, «Byzantine» legends, linguocultural dominant «Christianity», linguistic objectification.
