The purpose of the work is to summarize the results of a sociological study of the work of physical culture teachers and students in the educational process during a pandemic in the spring of 2020 on the example of 125 students of the Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology. The results were obtained, indicating a high degree of satisfaction with the distance learning format of the subject of “Physical Culture and Sport”. New teaching methods and a variety of forms can increase the interest and motivation of students in the study of the subject. The application of distance technologies has a positive effect on the acquiring of the theoretical aspects of the discipline.
