The article discusses the topical issue of teaching scientific speech to foreign students in the era of digital education. Such aspects of the problem as the interaction of a student and a teacher in a distance mode, the use of information technologies in the educational process, the active use of audio and video materials, and other teaching multimedia as digital educational tools are considered. Based on the material of an audio course in chemistry for foreign students of the pre-university stage, the methodological possibilities of its application in teaching the scientific style of speech as the main component of the formation of linguistic and professional competence of students are analyzed.
